The Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction was concluded on Sunday. Many franchises made satisfying purchases, including the Delhi Capitals as claimed by coach Pravin Amre, who said that they "are quite pleased with our buys. We have a good bank of Indian fast bowlers," on Sunday. However, some players had to leave the auction venue disappointed. The most notable one is veteran spinner Amit Mishra, who went unsold in the two-day event.

Team India off-spinner Washington Sundar has said he was disappointed that he had to miss last year's T20 World Cup due to injury concerns.
