Team News And Tournament So Far

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals' bowling attack is headed by Prasidh Krishna, who rattled the SRH top order in the first, including removing skipper Kane Williamson for 2 runs, limited Sunrisers Hyderabad to just 149-7 despite Aiden Markram's unbeaten 57, in their first match. Yuzvendra Chahal claimed three wickets to achieve 250 wickets in T20 matches, while Trent Bowler took two.

Sanju Samson, RR's brilliant keeper-batsman, was named the Man Of The Match after smashing three fours and five sixes in his 27-ball blitz, hitting 55 and putting on a crucial 73-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, who scored 41. Shimron Hetmyer of the West Indies struck 32 off 13 balls and blasted two sixes to push the Royals' total above 200 after being put in to bat first. The Royals ended up with an emphatic 61 run victory.

Rajasthan Royals would have to select between Kiwi James Neesham and Australian Nathan Coulter-Nile against MI, with Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, and Shimron Hetmyer filling the remaining three positions, but they may field an unchanged XI after defeating SRH and MI, despite losing their previous game to RCB. In case of an injury, Rajasthan may also field one out of Navdeep Saini, KC Cariappa, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Karun Nair, Rassie van der Dussen, Daryl Mitchell, or Obed McCoy.

Veteran leggie Yuzvendra Chahal took an incredible hattrick against KKR to clinch an unlikely win in one of the most dramatic IPL games ever !The Royal have won 4 of their 6 matches, after they won an absolute thriller against KKR in their last game.

Rajasthan Royals Probable XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler (wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, James Neesham, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna.

Delhi Capitals

In their first IPL encounter, Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians by four wickets. Lalit Yadav of the Delhi Capitals hit 48 not out from 38 balls down the order as DC chased down the total of 178 with 10 balls to spare.

Axar Patel produced a 17-ball 38 not out, and opener Prithvi Shaw added 38 as well. Basil Thampi grabbed three wickets for 35 runs for MI. Earlier, Ishan Kishan produced an unbeaten 81, but it all went in vain eventually. Kuldeep Yadav grabbed 3/18 to limit Mumbai to 177/5 in 20 overs, and Delhi Capitals quickly chased it down, reaching 179/6 in 18.2 overs.

In the second game, a valiant innings by captain Rishabh Pant went in vain, as DC collapsed to a 14 run defeat against Gujarat Titans. This leaves DC languishing in the middle of the table.

The Delhi Capitals may suffer a setback if Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is unable to play due to a hip ailment. Mitchell Marsh was scheduled to become eligible for the franchise on April 6. The injury to the all-rounder is yet another setback for the Delhi Capitals, who may also be without South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje for much of the season.

During the match against Mumbai, Delhi only used two of their seven international players, Tim Seifert and Rovman Powell. However, David Warner finally made his comeback for the Delhi franchise after a gap of 10 years against Lucknow Super Giants, though that ended in disappointment as he didn't play a good innings and DC lost again.

While David Warner has been in brilliant form for DC with 2 half centuries in 3 matches, Mitch Marsh struggled in his first game, and has now been diagnosed with Covid-19 and been hospitalized as precaution.

DC recovered brilliantly in their match against Kolkata Knight Riders, as they posted a mammoth total of 215, with brilliant half centuries from both Shaw and Warner. Delhi Capitals lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous match of IPL 2022. Batting first, RCB piled up 189-5 on the scoreboard. While the openers failed to fire, Glenn Maxwell slammed 55 runs. Later, Dinesh Karthik also smacked a marvelous knock of unbeaten 66 runs, including a brutal 28 run over off Mustafizur. For Delhi Capitals, only opener David Warner slammed 66 runs. Later, Rishabh Pant also scored 34. However, losing some crucial wickets in the middle, DC could not pull off the victory. They eventually lost by 16 runs.

Delhi Capitals Probable XI: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (captain/wicketkeeper), Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Mustafizur Rahman.

Betting Preview, Picks And Prediction

To Win The Match

RR have odds of 1.80 to win this match, which could be quite tempting as they are in top form and sitting third on the table. DC have won only 5 matches so far this season, and hence odds of them winning are 2.10.

Top Team Batsman

The Delhi Capitals top order is littered with talent, and the new favourite to be the top scorer is undoubtedly the returning David Warner at 3.25, as he has struck back-to-back fifties, followed by their captain Rishabh Pant at 3.50, while opener Prithvi Shaw has odds of 3.60, which is attractive as he too is in form.

Jos Buttler is in the form of his life, and easily the favourite to be RR's top scorer at 3.00. He already has two centuries this IPL and is the favourite for the Orange Cap also. He is followed by the explosive Sanju Samson at 4.00 and Devdutt Padikkal at 4.50.

Highest Opening Partnership

DC are favourites at 1.80 to have the highest opening partnership as they have in-form Warner and Shaw as their openers. Padikkal has struggled for RR at the top with Buttler though, hence their odds are 2.10.

Top Team Bowler

Anrich Nortje is unsurprisingly one of the favourites to be the top bowler for the Capitals at 3.75, while the experienced Shardul Thakur also has odds of 3.75.

Yuzu Chahal is unsurprisingly the new favourites to be the top bowler for the Royals at 3.25 after his stunning hattrick in the previous match, while the prolific Trent Boult has odds of 3.75.

Total Runs In The Match

Odds of there being more than 341.5 runs in this match are 1.83, as per 10Cric. This seems highly achievable as both these teams have some brilliant batsmen and have scored plenty of runs this season.

Individual Player Betting

  • David Warner to score more than 28.5 runs has odds of 1.87, which is a tempting bet as he would like to continue his current form and give DC a top start. Jos Buttler to score more than 29.5 runs has odds of 1.83 , which is a tempting bet as he is the most in form batsman in the league right now.
  • RR to hit the most sixes has odds of 1.80, which could be attractive odds, as Buttler, Padikkal, Samson and Hetmyer all are known for their big hits. Delhi have decent odds in this department with David Warner back, at 2.15. Pant and Rovman Powell can also influence this market.

  • Kuldeep Yadav to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 2.75, while Chahal to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 2.20.
