Team News And Tournament So Far

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals' bowling attack is headed by Prasidh Krishna, who rattled the SRH top order in the first, including removing skipper Kane Williamson for 2 runs, limited Sunrisers Hyderabad to just 149-7 despite Aiden Markram's unbeaten 57, in their first match. Yuzvendra Chahal claimed three wickets to achieve 250 wickets in T20 matches, while Trent Bowler took two.

Sanju Samson, RR’s brilliant keeper-batsman, was named the Man Of The Match after smashing three fours and five sixes in his 27-ball blitz, hitting 55 and putting on a crucial 73-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, who scored 41. Shimron Hetmyer of the West Indies struck 32 off 13 balls and blasted two sixes to push the Royals' total above 200 after being put in to bat first. The Royals ended up with an emphatic 61 run victory.

Rajasthan Royals would have to select between Kiwi James Neesham and Australian Nathan Coulter-Nile against MI, with Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, and Shimron Hetmyer filling the remaining three positions, but they may field an unchanged XI after defeating SRH and MI, despite losing their previous game to RCB. In case of an injury, Rajasthan may also field one out of Navdeep Saini, KC Cariappa, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Karun Nair, Rassie van der Dussen, Daryl Mitchell, or Obed McCoy.

The Royal have won 2 of ther 3 matches, and would be looking to bounce back with a crucial victory.

Rajasthan Royals Probable XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler (wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, James Neesham, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna.

Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow Super Giants threatened to become the first team in IPL 2022 to defend a target, but late blows from Gujarat Titans batsmen David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, ensured that the clash of the new teams was won by Gujarat Titans in their first match.

LSG lost as a result of some strange captaincy from KL Rahul, who stuck with spinners against two aggressive hitters despite the fact that it made it harder for the slower bowlers. Mohammed Shami, the man of the match, took three wickets in three overs with the new ball. Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni struck half-centuries to bail Lucknow Super Giants out of trouble and give their bowlers something to work with after KL Rahul was dismissed for a golden duck.

LSG bounced back brilliantly in their second and third matches however, and earned their first ever IPL wins with a solid performance overall.

LSG’s primary fast bowler recruit Mark Wood was hurt during England's current tour of the West Indies and has been ruled out of the IPL 2022. Andrew Tye has been named as his formal successor. Marcus Stoinis, the all-rounder for the Lucknow Super Giants, is in Pakistan for the white-ball series against the hosts and is expected to miss at least the first four matches of the season.

LSG defeated DC in their previous match with an assured performance, and are battling for top spot in the IPL standings with 3 wins in 4 matches.

LSG Probable XI : KL Rahul (captain), Quinton de Kock (wicketkeeper), Evin Lewis, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Andrew Tye, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi.

Betting Preview, Picks And Prediction

To Win The Match

Rajasthan Royals are the favourites to win the match with odds of 1.85 as per 10Cric. This is primarily because RR have a star-studded and balanced squad and despite losing their previous match, are in good form overall. LSG have own 3 matches in a row, and have very tempting odds at 1.95 to win this match.

Top Team Batsman

Sanju Samson was on fire in the first game and is again one of the favourites to be RR’s top scorer in this match, as he is widely considered to be their most consistent batsman and has odds of 3.75. Opener Jos Buttler, who smashed a brilliant half century in the first game and then a stunning century in the second match, is the clear favourite at 3.00..

KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock are the expected favourites from LSG to be the top scorers, with odds of 2.87 and 3.60 respectively. The versatile Manish Pandey is 6.00 to be LSG’s top scorer in this match.

Highest Opening Partnership

LSG are favourites at 1.85 to have the highest opening partnership in this match. This is primarily because they have one of the best opening pairs in Rahul and De Kock, and they will be desperate to get off to a solid start. While Buttler has been in form for RR, Yashashvi Jaiswal hasn't been ver consistent alongside him.

Top Team Bowler

Trent Boult is unsurprisingly one of the favourites to be the top bowler for the Royals at 3.75, while the prolific Yuzu Chahal also has odds of 3.75.

Former Delhi Capitals’ pacer Avesh Khan is the LSG favourite to be the top bowler, at 3.50. He is followed by Dushmanta Chameera at 3.75.

Total Runs In The Match

Odds of there being more than 339.5 runs in this match are 1.83, as per Betway. This seems highly achievable as both these teams have some brilliant batsmen and have scored plenty of runs this season.

Individual Player Betting

  • KL Rahul to score more than 29.5 runs has odds of 1.83, which is arguably the safest bet in this match as he is LSG’s primary batsman. Jos Buttler to score more than 28.5 runs also has odds of 1.83, which is also a tempting bet as he was on fire in the first two games for the Royals and just recently scored a century.

  • LSG to hit the most sixes has odds of 1.90, which is understandable as they have several players who can clear the ropes. KL Rahul, De Kock, Jason Holder and Krunal Pandya all are known for their big hits. RR to hit the most sixes also have the same odds, as Buttler, Padikkal, Samson and Hetmyer all are known for their big hits.
  • Yuzu Chahal to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 2.25, while Avesh Khan to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 2.10.
