The competition in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is now getting tighter and fiercer. Each team did not want to just give up facing their opponents. Likewise with the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Rajasthan Royals. After the two competed to their full potential, the Rajasthan Royals had to suffer their first IPL 2022 defeat against Bangalore at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
They lost after getting extraordinary resistance from stars Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed. Initially, the game favored the RR team. However, as RCB chased 170 with five deliveries remaining, duo Karthik and Ahmed outplayed RR's best bowling line-up. RCB also closed the match with an extraordinary victory.
Due to these results, both RR and RCB both recorded two wins in their first three matches in the IPL this season. A good start even though both of them still cannot be careless in the next match. At the beginning of the match, the team led by Faf du Plessis won the lottery and went bowling. David Willey led the first over superbly, and he was able to get rid of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second.
Even so, Jos Buttler who worked with Devdutt Padikkal in his best performance solidified the position of 70 runs. As Padikkal recorded 37, Buttler got the 50-run mark for the second time.
While on the other hand, Dasher was very careful throughout the innings and captain Sanju Samson was sent off. Buttler then teamed up with Shimron Hetmyer, who was a tough finisher. While RR recorded a 69/3 in 20 overs, the duo played some good shots in the final overs.
