RR vs LSG
At the beginning of the match, the Royals were in the back position in the first half. For most of inning 1, RR was down and out losing 4 wickets for 80 off runs. But Ravichandran Ashwin and Shimron Hetmyer's small partnership in the middle was able to get RR back on track and lead the game.
Furthermore, Hetmyer hit in the last few overs and that effort could power the RR by a competitive 165 runs. Meanwhile, Trent Boult gave RR a brilliant bowling start and he managed to get two wickets in his first over.
After 3 wickets fell in the powerplay, Deepak Hooda and Quinton de Kock tried to make things right. However, the LSG team led by KL Rahul has not been able to rise from the initial pressure because they always lose wickets in the middle of overs. Then, Stoinis tried to overcome it but he still couldn't get his team over the line.
With the Royals' victory, captain Sanju Samson admitted that he was happy and satisfied with the results of his team's work. He doesn't even know if his team is now at the top of the standings. In the match, Sanju gave Kuldeep Sen the last of the game.
“Depends on how he has bowled his first three overs. Got the feeling that he has done well and he is confident (talking about Kuldeep Sen) to go and execute his wide yorker which he has been working on in the offseason. Saw him in Syed Mushtaq and he was nailing his wide yorkers.” said Samson in the post-match presentation.
