David Warner spotted in Mumbai, joins Delhi Capitals

The IPL 2022 competition started a few days ago and all teams have been competing to maximize their strength and performance on the field. However, not all foreign players from each team in IPL 2022 have strengthened their team since the start of the competition. Some of them had to miss some games because of certain things.

Currently, most of the foreign players who were previously absent from the tournament have come to India for IPL matches. They have joined their respective teams to fight for victory in the IPL 2022.

The Delhi Capitals has confirmed that one of its players, David Warner has already joined the team. Previously, this Australian cricketer went on tour to Pakistan so he could not play with the Delhi Capital team since the initial match of IPL 2022.

Via social media, the Delhi-based franchise team said that Warner had joined and had arrived in Mumbai on Sunday. Delhi shared a photo of Warner on Instagram with the caption, “Just waiting for you David bhai. Welcome back home to DC.

Join the Capitals

Despite coming late, Warner's joining Delhi Capitals is a clear sign that Warner will create surprises on behalf of the Delhi Capitals on the pitch.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old cricketer commented jokingly on the Delhi Capitals Instagram post. He wrote, “I'm happy to be back and ready to play. I just need some tips to make the reels and also need some players to join it. ”

But upon landing in Mumbai, of course, Warner must pass quarantine for three days before joining his teammates in the IPL 2022.

"Delhi Capitals player David Warner arrived at the team hotel in Mumbai on Saturday. Warner is currently undergoing mandatory quarantine for 3 days before leaving his room," Delhi Capitals said in a statement.

Homecoming

This moment is a homecoming for Warner, who started his IPL career with Delhi Capital in 2009. Previously he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL for quite a long time. Warner has a bag full of 13 years of experience and won the IPL title with Sunrisers Hyderabad. But a few months ago, in a massive 2022 IPL auction, Delhi Capitals had bought Warner for 6.25 crores.

Warner is one of the best hitters in T20 cricket and has many outstanding records in world cricket ranging from IPL to international level. The left-handed opener is the fifth-highest run-getter in IPL history and has 5286 runs to his name.

The Delhi Capitals game in IPL 2022 has had quite a few ups and downs. After a successful start beating the Mumbai Indians, Rishabh Pant's team was beaten by 14 runs by the Gujarat Titans in their second match in IPL 2022 on Saturday in Pune.

Next up, Delhi Capitals will face the Lucknow Super Giants team at DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai in their next match on April 7.
