There's something exciting about the 14th IPL game this season, Wednesday at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. U-19 World Cup star Dewald Brevis managed to steal the public's attention when he competed against the Kolkata Knight Riders team in that match. Although he is a new player in the IPL, his achievements in cricket cannot be doubted.

Brevis is the player who has scored the most goals at the U-19 World Cup in the West Indies which has just ended. The player, nicknamed 'Baby AB (de Villiers)', racked up 506 runs with an average of 84.33. He also scored two hundred and three fifty in just six games. This is truly a great achievement.

Player of the Tournament

With this special achievement, the South African player was also named Player of the Tournament at the U-19 ODI World Cup. Having his own style and style of play, he is nicknamed 'Baby AB' because Brevis' playing and hitting style have similarities with South African batting legend AB de Villiers.

Brevis' ability and outstanding performance made the Mumbai Indians interested in recruiting him. In the 2022 IPL auction, Brevis was successfully bought for Rs 3 crore by the Mumbai Indians to strengthen their team for this season. To get Brevis, the Mumbai Indians must previously beat the Chennai Super Kings & the Punjab Kings.

Brevis is excited to make a promising appearance and first impression in the biggest cricket league. In his first match against Kolkata Knight Riders, he was not afraid to face spinner Varun Chakravarthy. The 18-year-old hitter took the middle lineup when he made his debut for the Mumbai Indians.

When Rohit Sharma's opener was sent off for 3 runs for Umesh Yadav's short pass, for the first time in the IPL, Brevis hit at #3 in 3 and scored four on his second delivery. Early on, the talented player sent Varun's first ball into the stands in the center of the net.

Umesh, known for his outstanding performances in the 2022 IPL also conceded, as Brevis bounced back into the middle of the pitch. Brevis' game really can't be underestimated and should be wary of opponents.

MI vs KKR

The 14th match of the IPL this season saw superstars Suryakumar Yadav and Pat Cummins return to battle in their respective teams, namely the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders. Yadav returned to MI after previous injury rehabilitation.

In the game, Brevis came up short, scoring 29 of 19 balls with two fours and six. Although he hasn't put in a great start for the Mumbai Indians, his short performance in the middle was enough to leave all cricket fans stunned.

He showed his talent in the middle with an invisible six. Even though he hasn't been able to surpass the score of 29, his brief appearance is enough to give a little glimpse of the special talent he has.

The match in this round, although short-lived, has shown fans how young 'Baby AB' performs and there is more to expect from Brevis in the upcoming matches.
