India vs Sri Lanka: Who's in, who's out

India is expected to host Sri Lanka for three T20Is and two Tests. The T20I series will start on February 24 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. The second instalment of the series will take place on February 26 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala, while the third will be held on February 27 at the same venue.

Team India has been reported to be seen in Lucknow for the T20I series opener on Thursday as confirmed by Suryakumar Yadav through his Instagram account. Meanwhile, the two Test matches will take place in Mohali and Bengaluru.

Who's out?

Virat Kohli: The former team India captain has taken a break from the bio-bubble. He left the team after the second T20I against West Indies where team India recorded a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. It has been reported that he will be back for the Tests.

Rishabh Pant: Pant, like Kohli, also left the bio-bubble after the second T20I against West Indies. Similarly, he is also on a break and will return for the Test series.

Shardul Thakur: The allrounder has been sidelined from the T20I and Test series. He will start making appearances again in the IPL.

Deepak Chahar: Deepak Chahar sustained a hamstring injury during the third and final T20I against West Indies at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He took two early wickets of the West Indies. He dismissed Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope before he was seen limping in pain while walking off the field with a right hamstring injury on Sunday. His injury means he would likely not start for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Suryakumar Yadav: Suryakumar Yadav was chosen as the Player of the Series as he smacked 34 off 18 balls when he help team India defeat the West Indies 3-0 in the recently concluded T20 international series between the two teams. Yadav suffered a hairline fracture in his hand after smashing 31-ball 65. Surya and Chahar are currently being treated at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

Team India has yet to announce the replacements for the injured players

Who's in?

Jasprit Bumrah: After having been dropped out of the T20 international series against the West Indies, Jasprit BUmrah is finally back. The last time he played cricket was in the ODI series against West Africa. He will return for the Sri Lankan T20 international series as team India's vice-captain.

Ravindra Jadeja: Ravindra Jadeja last played in international cricket nearly three months ago. The allrounder has now recovered from an injury he picked during the Kanpur Test against New Zealand in November. He was left out of the South Africa tour and the West Indies limited-overs matches due to an injury in his forearm.

Recently, Jadeja was praised by Vicky Ostwal, who finished his U19 career as India's most successful bowler with 12 wickets in six games, saying: "I have always idolised Ravindra Jadeja, he is my role model.

"The kind of player he is, he contributes in bowling, in batting, and the most important department is fielding. He is the guy that every team wants him in."

Sanju Samson: Sanju Samson returned to the T20 international set-up after recovering from a knee ligament injury. The last time he played cricket was on December 22.
