Team News And Tournament So Far

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals' bowling attack is headed by Prasidh Krishna, who rattled the SRH top order in the first, including removing skipper Kane Williamson for 2 runs, limited Sunrisers Hyderabad to just 149-7 despite Aiden Markram's unbeaten 57, in their first match. Yuzvendra Chahal claimed three wickets to achieve 250 wickets in T20 matches, while Trent Bowler took two.

Sanju Samson, RR's brilliant keeper-batsman, was named the Man Of The Match after smashing three fours and five sixes in his 27-ball blitz, hitting 55 and putting on a crucial 73-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, who scored 41. Shimron Hetmyer of the West Indies struck 32 off 13 balls and blasted two sixes to push the Royals' total above 200 after being put in to bat first. The Royals ended up with an emphatic 61 run victory.

Rajasthan Royals would have to select between Kiwi James Neesham and Australian Nathan Coulter-Nile against MI, with Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, and Shimron Hetmyer filling the remaining three positions, but they may field an unchanged XI after defeating SRH and MI, despite losing their previous game to RCB. In case of an injury, Rajasthan may also field one out of Navdeep Saini, KC Cariappa, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Karun Nair, Rassie van der Dussen, Daryl Mitchell, or Obed McCoy.

The Royal have won 4 of their last 5 matches, after they lost their last match to Gujarat TItans. Buttler's form is impeccable at the moment, and he looks set to take them to another victory here.

Rajasthan Royals Probable XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler (wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, James Neesham, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna.

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR started the season very well, earning a solid win over defending champions Chennai Super Kings. They then lost to RCB by just 3 wickets, in a match where they almost defended a very low total. KKR bounced right back up with an impressive victory over Punjab Kings, as Andre Russel seems to have found his batting form back.

KKR has the option of fielding an extra international player in place of keeper Sheldon Jackson or pacer Shivam Mavi, who both struggled against Chennai. The Knight Riders lost their second game against RCB, though they almost defended a very modest total with some brilliant bowling.

Chamika Karunaratne of Sri Lanka, Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan, and Tim Southee of New Zealand are the international alternatives on the bench. Tim Southee or Mohammad Nabi might get a chance to play against Punjab. Shreyas Iyer gave KKR debuts to Ajinkya Rahane, English wicket-keeper Sam Billings, and domestic stalwart Sheldon Jackson in the absence of Australia's batsman Aaron Finch and bowler Pat Cummins against Chennai in their first game.

Pat Cummins' return has been a brilliant boost for KKR as he played a blinder of an innings in the previous match against MI, scoring a brilliant 56 off just 15 balls ! He was also lethal with the ball and is one of the biggest assets in the T20 game.

After a brilliant start where they once led the league table as well, KKR are now struggling as they have lost 5 matches in a row. They will be hoping for a revival in this match.

KKR Predicted Playing XI : Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer(c), Nitish Rana, Sam Billings(w), Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Umesh Yadav, Pat Cummins, Varun Chakravarthy.

Betting Preview, Picks And Prediction

To Win The Match

RR have odds of 1.80 to win this match, which could be quite tempting as they are on a good winning run. KKR have lost their last 5 matches in a row though, and have odds of 2.10 to win this match.

Top Team Batsman

Captain Shreyas Iyer is again the favourite to be KKR’s top scorer in this match, as he is widely considered to be their most consistent batsman and has odds of 3.75. Opener Venkatesh Iyer has odds of 4.00 to be the top scorer as he scored a brilliant 50 in the previous match.

Jos Buttler is in the form of his life, and easily the favourite to be RR's top scorer at 3.00. He is followed by the explosive Sanju Samson at 4.00 and Devdutt Padikkal at 4.50.

Highest Opening Partnership

RR are favourites at 1.80 to have the highest opening partnership as they have in-form Buttler and Padikkal as their openers. KKR haven't had a successful opening pairing yet and have odds of 1.90.

Top Team Bowler

Umesh Yadav has surprisingly emerged as KKR’s favourite to be the top bowler at 3.75 as he is the leading wicket-taker in the league so far, while leggie Varun Chakravarthy has odds of 4.00.

Yuzvendra Chahal is unsurprisingly one of the favourites to be the top bowler for the Royals at 3.75, while the prolific Trent Boult has odds of 4.00.

Total Runs In The Match

Odds of there being more than 341.5 runs in this match are 1.83, as per 10Cric. This seems highly achievable as both these teams have some brilliant batsmen and have scored plenty of runs this season.

Individual Player Betting

  • Venkatesh Iyer to score more than 24.5 runs has odds of 1.87, which is a gamble as he would like to continue his current form and give KKR a top start. Jos Buttler to score more than 31.5 runs has odds of 1.83 , which is a tempting bet as he is the most in form batsman in the league right now.
  • RR to hit the most sixes has odds of 1.90, which could be attractive odds, as Buttler, Padikkal, Samson and Hetmyer all are known for their big hits. KKR to hit the most sixes also has odds of 1.90, which can be very tempting with Russell back in form, along with Iyer, Rana, Cummins and Narine’s ability to clear the rope.

  • Umesh Yadav to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 2.30, while Chahal to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 2.40.
