History And Tournament So Far

These two teams haven’t played against each other before, hence the head to head record is not available. Both these teams lost their first match of the season and will be looking to set things right and get off the mark in this match.

Lucknow Super Giants threatened to become the first team in IPL 2022 to defend a target, but late blows from Gujarat Titans batsmen David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, ensured that the clash of the new teams was won by Gujarat Titans.

Lucknow Super Giants lost as a result of some strange captaincy from KL Rahul, who stuck with spinners against two aggressive hitters despite the fact that it made it harder for the slower bowlers. Mohammed Shami, the man of the match, took three wickets in three overs with the new ball. Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni struck half-centuries to bail Lucknow Super Giants out of trouble and give their bowlers something to work with after KL Rahul was dismissed for a golden duck.

LSG bounced back brilliantly in their second match however, and earned their first ever IPL win with a solid performance overall.

Team News

Lucknow Super Giants

LSG’s primary fast bowler recruit Mark Wood was hurt during England's current tour of the West Indies and has been ruled out of the IPL 2022. Andrew Tye has been named as his formal successor. Marcus Stoinis, the all-rounder for the Lucknow Super Giants, is in Pakistan for the white-ball series against the hosts and is expected to miss at least the first four matches of the season.

Jason Holder was a member of West Indies' national squad for the Test series against England, which concluded on Sunday (March 27). He is anticipated to arrive in India in a few days and would be isolated for three days before rejoining his teammates.

Lucknow used three international players against Gujarat Titans, including Evin Lewis, Quinton de Kock, and Dushmantha Chameera, and may use Andrew Tye again versus SRH in lieu of Mohsin Khan, who went wicketless and returned with numbers of 0/18 in two overs.

LSG Probable XI versus SRH: KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (w), Evin Lewis, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Ayush Badoni, Dushmantha Chameera, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Andrew Tye

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad's top four batsmen were removed for single-digit scores at 37/5 in their 211-run chase against Rajasthan Royals. Aiden Markram's (57* runs), Wahington Sundar's (40 runs), and Romario Shepherd's (24 runs) contributions helped them reach 149/8 in 20 overs. Players with more experience, such as Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, and Rahul Tripathi, must step up with the bat.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar bowled brilliantly for 4-0-29-1 and was unlucky not to earn additional wickets owing to no-balls. Romario Shepherd, Umran Malik, and T Natarajan each grabbed five wickets but came at a cost. The spin department is mainly reliant on Washington Sundar, with assistance from Abdul Samad, Aiden Markram, and Abhishek Sharma.

SunRisers Hyderabad’s Predicted XI:- Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Kane Williamson (c), Nicholas Pooran (wk), Aiden Markram, Abdul Samad, Washington Sundar, Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Umran Malik

Betting Preview, Picks And Prediction

To Win The Match

Lucknow Super Giants are the favourites to win the match with odds of 1.72 as per Betway, which is largely based on the team’s strength on paper and also their brilliant win in the previous match. SRH have lost the only match they played and are 2.10 to win this match.

Top Team Batsman

KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock are the expected favourites from LSG to be the top scorers, with odds of 2.87 and 3.60 respectively, despite both failing to kick on in the previous match. The versatile Manish Pandey is 6.00 to be LSG’s top scorer in this match.

SRH captain Kane Williamson is unsurprisingly the favourite to be their top batsman in this match with odds of 3.60. His opening partner Markram has odds of 4.00. Nicholas Pooran has odds of 5.50 to be the top batsman.

Highest Opening Partnership

LSG are favourites at 1.72 to have the highest opening partnership in this match. This is primarily because they have one of the best opening pairs in Rahul and De Kock, and they will be desperate to get off to a solid start. SRH are now expected to struggle in the opening department after the departure of David Warner, and are still trying out new combinations.

Top Team Bowler

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is SRH’s favourite to be the top team bowler at 3.75, followed by Natarajan at 4.25.

Former Delhi Capitals’ pacer Avesh Khan is the LSG favourite to be the top bowler, at 3.50. He is followed by Dushmanta Chameera at 3.75.

Total Runs In The Match

Odds of there being more than 337.5 runs in this match are 1.83, as per Betway. This seems highly achievable as both these teams have some brilliant batsmen and are capable of posting huge totals.

Individual Player Betting

  • KL Rahul to score more than 29.5 runs has odds of 1.83, which is arguably the safest bet in this match as he is LSG’s primary batsman. Kane Williamson to score more than 26.5 runs has odds of 1.83 , which is a tempting bet as he is their most consistent batsman.
  • LSG to hit the most sixes has odds of 1.90, which is understandable as they have several players who can clear the ropes. KL Rahul, De Kock, Jason Holder and Krunal Pandya all are known for their big hits. SRH to hit the most sixes has odds of 2.10, which are also very attractive odds, especially if their openers get firing.
  • Avesh Khan to take 2 or more wickets for LSG has odds of 2.37, which is attractive as he can snap up key wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 2.30 which is a given with his experience
