The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star, Virat Kohli, seems to have continuous bad luck in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 edition. The fans were very disappointed with his poor performance in the Challengers match against the new franchise, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium, Tuesday.
The former RCB captain even only played very briefly against Lucknow. His performance made the fans shocked, hurt, and disappointed. During the match, KL Rahul who won the toss asked the Bangalore batsman to hit first. After being asked to hit first, Kohli walked out to hit after Anuj Rawat. However, he was immediately struck by Dushmantha Chameera.
Rahul's decision to go bowling first proved to be the right one. Because of that strategy, Chameera was able to pick up two wickets in two balls towards the end of the first half of the game. The two wickets include Rawat and Kohli. Meanwhile, it is with a heavy heart that Kohli had to return very quickly, without having time to open his account. Chameera hit hard and served outside.
Actually, Kohli could have left the ball, but instead, he unexpectedly swung his bat in that direction. Then, the ball went straight to the point where Lucknow all-rounder Deepak Hooda was standing. Of course, this was a golden opportunity for Hooda because he could take it very easily.
Kohli who realized that he had to get off the field, was visibly disappointed. As if he knew that bad luck continues to befall him in the IPL this season.
